Overview

The Antminer T9 was manufactured by the Bitmain company. This miner is known to be the first miner to run on a 16nm process code and has a hash rate of 14Th/s. It consumes a power of 1450W with an efficiency of 0.126J/Gh. The competitive advantage of the antminer T9 over other products is that it is very affordable and efficient. The manufacturers have taken care of the fact that it needed to improve on the shortcomings of the preceding version of the miner, the S9. 

The T9 houses the extremely efficient BM1387 chip and has about 171 of such chips. The only competitive advantage between the S9 and the T9 is that the S9 has a Hashrate of 14Th/s compared to T9 11.5th/s.

Power Consumption

The Antminer has been designed to be fully optimized and uses the least possible amount of power. The T9 has a power consumption of  0.126J/GH, while the S9 with more energy consumes at 0.098J/Gh.

Temperature.

Mining machines when in use increases in temperature. This is the very reason why the designers of the T9 introduced fans. The T9 houses two fans that can be used to regulate the temperature of the device. The power consumption of the fans tends to increase and as such the heat also increases, since they draw more power.

Profitability.

The Antminer T9 produces an Average of 0.09BTC in a month, which is considered to be a better result when considering other models or devices.

The T9 is more or less an upgrade of the S9, but with better functionalities, increased efficiency, and ultimately is a better choice for miners who are looking to make decent profits.
