About Antminer B3

Antminer B3 was released as an addition to Bitmain's Antminer brand and is meant for mining Bytom. The Antminer application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) mining hardware series – designed and produced by Bitmain – has made itself a noteworthy manufacturer in the blockchain industry. Antminer B3 is an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) machine released by Bitmain in May 2018.

Launched in 2013, the Antminer brand represents leading technical specifications and excellent product quality for ASIC mining hardware. Antminers have superior performance and power efficiency, lead the blockchain mining industry and serve Bitmain customers globally.

Bytom is a new coin, and the price is very affordable. Bytom is a blockchain protocol for financial and applications.

Using the Bytom protocol, individuals and enterprises can register and exchange not just digital assets (i.e., Bitcoin) but traditional assets as well (i.e., securities, bonds, or even intelligence data). Antminer B3 is capable of AI calculation. It makes use of Bitmain's 12nm ASIC chip, which helps in faster productivity. The miner has maximum hash rate of 780Hz  and power consumption of 360W.

In appearance, the Antminer B3 has the standard dual-fan design in the front and rear sides and comes with three hash boards. You can see the three hash boards from above. On the front part, one can see the IP button, status light indicators, network cable socket, etc.

The Antminer B3 is quite different from the Antminer B7 model that was released in March 2019. Antminer B7 has a hash rate of 96kh and consumes a power of 528W. Unlike Antminer B3's dual fan design, Antminer B7 comes with only one fan, which reduces the noise level and size. The Antminer B3 uses an APW3++ power supply to supply power to the miner. The mining pool is Antpool, which Bitmain owns, and the set-up is the same as other Antminer devices. For, e.g., mining workers for the Antminer S9 will be able to work for B3.

Antminer B3 has a size of 124 x 155 x 313mm and weighs 7kg. The DC voltage input level is 11.60 - 13.00 V and has a DC input of 12V. It has an operating temperature of 0-40℃ and a storage temperature of 40-80℃. The operating humidity is about 5RH - 95RH, which helps prevent condensation and ensures a stable mining condition. The network connection mode and the interface is Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN).

After 24 hours of mining, the miner's hash board's temperature is around 30℃, and it has a chip temperature of about 36℃. Its temperature is lower than the other miners.

For the power connection mode, all two PCI-E ports are needed to power up the boards. You can use one power supply unit for different power boards, but no attempt should be made to power one board with two PSUs. To prevent the risk of an electrical malfunction, you should turn off the control board before the hash boards are powered.

Noise Level

In PPS Antpool mode, the measured noise from about 10cm from the air inlet in 74db, 10cm from the air outlet is 82db, and about 1m is 71db. The noise level of a miner is dependent on the cooling method. Antminer B3 has a total noise level of 72db, which is standard.

Antminer B3 works with the Tensority algorithm. This algorithm has only one minable coin, Bytom. Tensority is an ASIC-enabled algorithm that is based on Proof of Work (PoW) consensus. The algorithm has all the advantages of other blockchain algorithms and solves their shortcomings with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Profitability and Return Of Investment (ROI) is the main criterion for buying mining hardware. Antminer B3's profitability depends on factors like market conditions and electricity rates in the area. Miners are bound to make more profits for people using free electricity as there is no electricity cost. If the market favors Bytom, Antminer B3 will make a profit.
