Goldshell produces the HS1 and HS3 models, affordable HNS miners for small and large mining farms. The HS1 Plus mines the Handshake coin, the native currency in the HNS protocol that makes the transfer, registration, and update of the names possible. It comes with an aluminum shell case with a new integrated design that saves space, thereby creating a safer and more convenient environment. Due to this, the noise level goes down without taking up any room.
The HS1 Plus adopts the Goldshell USB interface, plugging it into a PC for mining activity. It is a significant improvement from the previous model HS1 that has a hash rate of 50Gh/s and power consumption of 57W. They have the same noise levels, 34dB, and use the same 12V — 5A power adapter, but use different power connectors.
It weighs 450g and comes in 86 x 97 x 157mm; it is one of the smallest miners on the market.
The Goldshell HS1 Plus is part of Goldshell’s HS flagship series. It has a power of 115W and an effective hash rate of 105 Gh/s. It works with the Handshake algorithm, which is under the Handshake Protocol. The algorithm consists of a node anyone can use without permission to become a part of a decentralized naming platform. This project aims to create a different certificate authority and naming process for the root Domain Name Server.
It is decentralized, permissionless, and generally compared to International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), which is already centralized.
Goldshell Hs1 Plus is equipped with high performing customized ASIC cards. An effective hash rate in a small body inspires a new era for the cryptocurrency community while showing Goldshell’s commitment to giving users their money’s worth. The Goldshell HS1 Plus consumes low power, about 1Gh/s, consuming 1.1W of power while providing an extremely efficient mining experience. It comes with a portable design, small and elegant, at around one pound, you can even carry it in your hand.
It just requires a single USB cable for connection and a PCle six-pin power cable. This device comes with customized mining software and an easy to use control panel. With its user-friendly interface, setting up is fast and easy. This interface helps in ease of usage for both first-timers and experienced miners. The Goldshell HS1 uses an open protocol, and any existing mining client can support the HS1 miner by implementing its communication protocol. It uses a power supply unit with a PCle six-pin connector and a USB connection to the PC or a desktop.
When mining, this miner works in an environment with good air circulation, and the ambient room temperature shouldn’t be more than 40 Celsius Degree. Miners are advised to check the internet status before mining, as poor internet connection will directly affect the reject rate and lower miner profitability.
The Goldshell HS1 Plus has a noise level of 34dB. The noise level is the best feature of this miner as it makes it noiseless. Other miners that adopt this silent approach to mining are the ASICminer Zeon Turbo and the Whatsminer M40, which have a noise level of 65dB and 47dB, respectively. Most miners have a noise level of 60 to 80 dB. To better understand this: between 60,70 and 80 dB, they have a noise level equivalent to everyday conversation, a vacuum cleaner, and city noises, respectively.
Profitability is an important criterion to choose when getting a miner. Miners should be aware that profit changes depending on market conditions and electricity costs. When the market favors the top coin, miners will get high profitability.
